Merry and Bright Float Application

This year’s Merry & Bright parade will light up the streets in Devon, bringing the festivities to residents’ homes. Happening on November 27 from 5:00pm-8:00pm, we are looking for creative float applications that will make a visual impact with the artistic use of lights.

Please read the Parade Entry Terms & Conditions prior to applying.

Float Awards + Categories

We recognize the effort businesses and community groups put in to making their floats as magical as possible! Prizes will be given to the top external floats that join our parade. Winners may choose a cash prize or recognized as a sponsor in next year's 2022 event.

  • Prize #1 - Best Illumination, $300
  • Prize #2 - Most Creative, $200
  • Prize #3 - Mose Spirit, $100

Winners will be chosen by the community after the parade.

  • Float Description

  • This year’s parade theme “Merry & Bright” will bring light, glow and illumination to the streets in Devon with dazzling light-up floats, animations and creative use of lights. Please describe how your entry will incorporate Christmas or winter themes into your float.

  • Physical description of float, including: Dimensions, what the float will look like, characters, passengers, and type of music. Please note: No Santa or Grinch costumes allowed.

  • Please attach a sketch or picture of the float concept. Accepted file types: pdf, jpg, png, gif. Max-size 4MB.

      Please note: Preference will be given to entries who supply their own vehicle and driver.



    • Vehicle Acknowledgement

      I understand that any vehicles being driven on the parade route as part of our entry must be driven by a fully licensed and insured driver.

    • Notes

      The Merry & Bright Parade has a limited amount of space for floats. All applicants will be notified by November 12 if their float is accepted into the parade. We thank all applicants for their interest and submissions.

      There is no entry fee into the parade.
